Rosarian. He was officially knighted in the organization’s traditional
ceremony in April. The Royal Rosarians — a nonprofit, civic organization that
is separate from the Portland Rose Festival Foundation — volunteer to serve as
Portland's official greeters and ambassadors. The organization’s foundation,
the Royal Rosarians Foundation, has a mission of providing aid to at-risk
children; providing scholarships for youth; and fostering community spirit.
