SYK and US Bank Present: Famous People & Their Infamous Wills
July 15, 2015 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am
Presented by Michael Walker and Rebecca Bibleheimer
Few of us will ever make millions on our acting chops or music skills, but our estates may run into the same issues as those of the rich and famous: imperfectly executed or updated documents, substance abuse problems, fighting relatives, and charges of improper influence over Mom or Dad.
This discussion will illustrate the practical lessons we can learn from the estates of Presidents, Princesses and Rock Stars.
We’ll provide the audience with an understanding of wills, powers of attorney, and end-of-life care documents by looking at the estates of Robin Williams, Kurt Cobain, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Marilyn Monroe, and others.
Michael D. Walker is a business, tax and estate planning attorney who has worked with individuals and small to medium-sized businesses for more than 20 years. A careful listener, Michael skillfully guides his clients to meet the wide variety of legal challenges they face in today’s complex world.
