SYK Seminar Series: Spring Cleaning, Part 1
March 1 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am
March is almost upon us. That means Spring is coming. And so is Spring cleaning. It’s time for your clients to dust off their estate plans.
Join attorneys Eric Wieland and Anastasia Yu Meisner for an overview and discussion about the importance of having clients review their estate plans. Their “Estate Plan Checklist” will cover topics such as:
- Does your client understand their estate plan?
- Do your client’s supporting documents (Advanced Directives, Powers of Attorney, etc.) meet their needs?
- Are the nominated fiduciaries (Personal Representative, Guardian, Conservator, Trustee, Agent) still appropriate?
- Are the Beneficiary Designations up to date and complete?
This is part one of a two part series regarding estate planning. This first discussion centers around the “today”. The second will focus on the future.
Eric J. Wieland puts his knowledge of tax and estate planning law to work in combination with his attention to detail. He is an estate planner, who works in the areas of law concern
business planning, taxation, retirement, ERISA compliance, and trust and estate administration. His belief is that no two clients are alike, much like how no legal circumstances are the same.
Anastasia Yu Meisner is a recent addition to the estate planning practice at SYK. She concentrates on estate planning, probate, trust and estate administration, guardianships/conservatorships, mediation, tax exempt entities, and business formation and transactions. Her extensive professional experience has made her a sought after source for numerous publications.
