Prior to the Karadžić case, he conducted in-court direct examinations in international war crimes trials, and traveled extensively throughout the former Yugoslavia investigating serious violations of international humanitarian law.

Mr. Resch, who grew up in Portland, earned a B.A. from the University of Oregon, and a J.D. from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College. He is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington, and volunteers as a regional judge for the Classroom Law Project.
